We checked in, sent to our room only to find out it had 3 single beds for a family of 4, rang reception they changed us to another room, this time the toilet and safe didn't work. Rang again,we waited for 1 hour for someone to come, no one. I called again, finally after another 1 hour we were changed... More

Overall beautiful hotel very reminisant of days of the raj. Good area away from centre of Bangkok giving you a peaceful stay. We ate at the hotel food is excellent just a shame the restaurant is not ever very full, maybe because eating is so cheap in the centre of Bangkok. My only complaint is about the rooms and coridoors... More

We spent three nights at Montien again ,we seem to go back and back every time we visit Bangkok. We always ask for room overlooking Patpong night market,at about 5pm the market goes up ,what a site to see ,they all work together and make it look so easy. The hotel is a little dated and could do with tea and coffie... We stayed here as part of a packaged deal following 7 days in Phuket. The hotel was suitable for our needs as a one night stop before boarding a flight early the next morning. The Montien is a very basic hotel, a bit run down with reasonably comfortable beds and friendly though not overly helpful staff. I am sure that... More

We have stayed at the Montien Hotel every year for the last seven years. The hotel is in a great location, with the sky rail, taxis, tuk tuks, shops, markets, bars and restaurants right at your doorstep. The Montien is extremely clean however it is very out dated compared to other hotels in the area and what we usually stay... More

It seems that the area aground the Siam Square - Chit Lom is most in fashion now. All this modern architecture, shopping and new hotels. Montiens once strongest argument was the location beside Patpong which is half empty now. The whole area along Silom Road lost a little of its earlier intensity. It is also much less activities at Montien.... More

Montien Bangkok is a very old property but very nicely maintained. Staffs always ready to serve you with smile. Breakfast served is fantastic. No hot water kettle available in rooms. Very near to the the patong market. Worth a stay if you are looking for a affordable property :) More

We had a very well-appointed room, very comfortable. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing, so much choice and all nicely presented and tasty. Staff in the restaurant were very attentive. Ratsak, the major domo, is a real character. The location is good for nightlife. Plenty of tour operators come to the hotel to offer... More

I had a standard 'single' room on the 12th floor in the North Wing. Room was fine, not the most modern but not old either. Not large but was comfortable with good quality matresses, good room lighting and controls, good air-con. Had all the standard facilities in the room that one would expect at this price range. View was over... More

I am a solo traveller on my first trip to England.
