Nice and quite hotel in the middle of Bangkok's entertainment area. The service is excellent and breakfast is served 24 hrs. Security in top. More

Tarntawan is the centre of the entertainmnet area of Silom/Surawongse but it is set back from the road and so is gratifyingly quiet. Patpong market and the gay areas are close by, as are some shopping malls and Lumpini Park....an excellent location. I've been staying there regularly for more than ten years and will return next month. The staff are... More

It's been a little while since my last visit but none of the charm has gone. This a great little hotel the staff are wonderful and it was good to see so many people I knew from my last trip many of the staff even remember my name. The rooms are of good size depending on what you choose.I stay... More

This is a case of first impressions is NOT the lasting impressions! As "peterxhosa" says, the little alley where it is situated looks rather downmarket and a little grotty from the outside, but boy, once you step into that reception area you realise you have stumbled onto a hidden jewel. I will never stay anywhere else ever again in Bangkok.... More

Sssh, don't tell anyone about this hotel. I want to be able to get a booking there again. I have been staying at the Tarntawan for the past 10 years and is my favourite hotel for busy work trips to Bangkok (for leisure the Peninsula gets my vote). From the outside it looks a little grotty and it is hiiden... More

I have stayed at the Tarntawan Place Hotel for 3to 4 days each year for the past seven years. The rooms are very comfortable...king bed...T.V. (small selection-too much sport) D.V.D. excellent bathroom...taps and shower need upgrading but not bad. Greeted by a glass of cold ice tea in your room...fruit daily. Great breakfast selection included. Easy walk to surrounding shops... More

An unpretentious mid-sized hotel in a very busy area of Bangkok. Attentive, helpful staff. Pros: - Price - 24h room service, great for late-night hunger pangs - Free included breakfast - Great staff - Location right for bustling BKK feel with countless eating choices within easy walking distance - Nice little touches: welcome drinks (iced lemongrass tea), flowers in room,... This small hotel very close to Pat Pong nightmarket is well led by the Management and the staff is very attentive. The rooms might need some refurblishing but are still o.k. for the price you pay. I love the fast and strong WIFI, the 24hrs Breakfast service, the aircon and the size of the rooms which are spacious enough to... More

I have stayed at the Tarntawan several times in the past few years, if my other choices weren't available, and this time wasn't as good. I've had issue with the lights switch box, next to the bed, which controls the lights and the Air conditioning, all night long, the light will turn on by itself, and will turn off by... More
