We enjoyed our stay at Baan Chantra, a very nice and beautifully furnished guesthouse. The very clean and air-conditioned room with a little wooden balcony gave us entire satisfaction. Well situated, 'Athiti' the nearest pier and Khao San road are at 10 walking minutes. Although Samsen road is busy during the day we have had quiet nights. Different types and... More

Well located near the Khao San Road. Fully furnished with cleanness and helpful staffs. Well guarded at night with security after 10pm impressively. It was hot and humid during my stay but the serenity in the premises was calming.

Fantastic hotel located just off Khao San road. As other reviews state this is a small family run hotel, perfectly located and has been owned by the same family for generations having previously been the current owners grandmothers home. The staff are pleasant and helpful, up for a chat and in our opinion this hotel has loads of character. We're... More

Just spent 2 nights in Baan Chantra with Kulthida and co and simply cannot say enough good things about the place and the people there. From arrival we felt warmly welcomed. We arrived very early and they made a room free for us to shower and freshen up after a very long flight. Later we checked into out downstairs bedroom... More

I love coming to stay at Baan Chantra (this was my third stay!) it is like having a second home. Khun Kuthilda and her staff are so welcoming, caring and fun. Make sure that you have the Thai breakfast, you will get a new taste each day. The rooms are airy, lots of lovely wooden furniture and the beds have... More

We had a great time at Baan Chantra! Very well located, we managed to do all the main visits by foot. Furthermore we really appreciated the great team there, we were asked at what time we were arriving to make sure the room would be ready on time. They also sent us a map in Thai for the taxi to... A wonderful place; they treat you like family not a customer! The rms are clean & well appointed I would return here again. Kulthida & her crew makes the place friendly & truly authentic. She sent the car & driver to the airport & hailed down several cabs for me, insisting they use the meter. What a blessing!

I've stayed at the Baan Chantra twice and never been disappointed. The owner, Kulthilda, is a wonderful hostess and takes very good care of her guests. The house was her grandparents and she has taken great care to keep it in a traditional Thai style. The highlight of our last trip was giving alms to the Buddhist monks with Kulthilda... More

We stayed in Ban Chantra in January 2013 for five nights. Kulthida was a warm and excellent hostess. When we told her of our liking for Thai food, she prepared breakfast dishes for us that we never had before. She gave freely of her time with information about Bangkok. The inn was well located, not too far from the Chao... More

We stayed at the Baan Chantra for five nights at the end of Dec, 2012. We were met at the airport in the middle of the night by a driver the Baan Chantra owner had arranged for us. We had a larger and quieter room the first night and then moved into a smaller, still lovely, room closer to the... More
