We spent 3 nights there in Elliebum. Gade is a very nice owner. She can speak Chinese and English. She gave us many good advices to visit Chiang Mai and good restaunts. Rooms are very big and clean. Position is very good. Close to the Sunday night buzzar. Close to the temples. Inside the old city. You can walk to... More

We loved to stay at Elliebum because the owners, as said in others reviews, are lovely. We spent sonkran with them and had some fun doing water fights with their friends. It wasn't like being in an average guesthouse, more like staying with friends, not to mention it's very pleasant to have an interpreter at hand when you need one!... More

Elliebum guesthouse is the most colorful and comfortable place you will encounter in Chiang Mai. The bottom floor is a cafe that serves delicious coffee, breakfast, thai food and smoothies at an affordable price. The place is creatively decorated with bright colors and feels very cozy, like you are at someone's house. This is a stark contrast to other Chiang... More

I loved Elliebum. I don't quite think it's a guesthouse in the traditional sense - there's a cafe on the bottom floor, and then I believe just the two rooms, each taking up one level of the building. So clearly the rooms are of a really decent size! There was a big comfy king-size bed, and - hallelujah! - a... More

The owner, Gade, is so helpful - from suggesting places to eat, things to see, she gives a tour of her neighborhood that is insightful and introduces you to foods in the area. The lodgings are clean and well kept, breakfast is delicious and great coffee. We usually had one of her smoothies in the late afternoon. Gade even arranged... More

Being my first experience in a guest house I wasn't really sure what to expect. Firstly the response by email in setting up our booking was excellent, even when flooding caused us to change our plans at the last minute there were no issues and prompt communication all the way through. The room though simple was large and well set... More

Loved staying here during my first solo days in Chiang Mai! The rooms are cosy yet spacious and Gade is a fabulous host who will assist with whatever it is your Chiang Mai dreams require. Hot showers, scrumptious breakfasts, warm smiles, maps, orientation-Elliebum has it all. And Gade can keep a good secret too ;) More

Great ambience, friendly and charming like the name suggests. Rooms were spotless and thick blueberry pancakes with seasonal fruits, and local chicken and mushroom rice soup were a treat. Not much of a view, but location in the heart of the old city makes getting about easy as pie. Best of all, Gade's a lovely host and source of local... More

We really enjoyed our brief 2-night stay at Elliebum. What an adorable place. They have 4 rooms here - we had a large room on the 3rd floor - no elevator, but not a big deal. The room was large, the bathroom was GREAT and huge, and there was great air-conditioning, a balcony, a tv and dvd player, and even... More
