I've stayed twice at this location over two years with other single females when we wanted a safe place that was clean but inexpensive. The location of A Little Bird is great...it is tucked away in a neighborhood, adjacent to a fruit/vegetable market and boasts a lady that makes some of the best (and inexpensive) fruit smoothies in town. Many... More

my first time to backpack alone and chiang mai was my first destination. the staff took care of my bus booking to vientiane. on my last day, minutes before i leave, backpackers and the staff were having a good time splashing, pouring water at everyone. and they didn't spare me. lol. staff were kind enough to lend me towel as... This is a recall of my stay at A Little Bird guesthouse during my June 2011 Thailand trip. The location is very central to main district & very close to major city sights. The old city Thapae gate, markets, bars & restaurants are all within walking distance. Guesthouse is tucked away nicely on a quiet side street, very easy for... More

When paying such a small amount to stay somewhere, I think it's unreasonable to put it down. So I'll just try to be honest... The hostel is charming and very 'backpackery'. The staff were lovely and the outside areas were nice to chill and meet others. It's relaxed and people mingle on the terrace area. It's in a good location... More

The guesthouse was okay, but loud and drunk people kept us awake almost all night. On top of that, there was a nasty stink in the bathroom, probably due to the canalization in the back of the house. Also, the staff was very rude and the reception was open only until 9 pm. So, don't let the nice pics fool... More

Little Bird has a great social atmosphere with platforms and cushions to lounge on as everyone else has stated before, makes a great place to meet new friends and bring old ones, all hours of the day. Location is ideal in the center of Chiang Mai, walking distance to everything you need to go to, bars, the walking street, markets,... More

This hostel is in a good location. Very basic...clean, cheap and relatively friendly - I must have went on an off weekend because it wasn't as welcoming and overly friendly as past reviews have stated.

The first thing that strikes you is how social and friendly this place is. I went to Little Bird thinking I'll stay for a couple of days but ended up staying my entire week in Chiang Mai. They have two communal areas, one on the ground floor with cushions and a cozy one upstairs where you will find people anytime... More

The rooms are basic and for the price I found it good value. The dorm room has a small patio and the small bathroom is off of that. My room only had 1 fan, which wasn't enough- some had 2 which would have been nice since it was really hot! They only have small lockers for your valuables in the... More

I came to Chiang Mai wanting to see other backpackers, having spent some time working in Chiangrai - and Little Bird didn't disappoint. With two excellent decking areas, a short walk from most of the bars, it was a great place to meet people and make friends - many of whom I then travelled up to Pai with. With a... More
