Pros: Great pool(s), great location, there were cats in the area and the rooms are spacious Cons: Old, dirty furniture, almost no kitchen equipment (there are stoves but no pans or such), no garbage can (!), weird smell in the room, the hotel staff at the reception is not very friendly, everything looks and fells really really old.

Visited green hill place to use the pool only. Staff were very abrupt and rude. They didn't have towels available to use or rent, only to buy for 300 baht! For somewhere that makes their residents pay to use the pool, trying to be like a leisure centre, you'd think they'd have towels available for guests/ customers. The pool itself was nice and spacious, could do with some more sun loungers.

I spent a weekend at Green Hill Place. The rooms were quite nice, clean, sunny facing the pool. They were a little expensive for the low season but it was a satisfying stay overall. The pool is great and when the weather is good, it is great fun for families, couples but also for single adults. The staff was very nice and assisting, I had an omelette and a coconut for a drink, the food was good and reasonably priced.

I don’t think you can find more rude people in Thailand than the ones working behind the “by the pool restaurant”. And it’s not just a one time experience. It happens every time. This review is only about the pool and the staff. I don’t live here but use the fantastic pool. Actually there are 2. And they are normally occupied by screaming loud kids. Apparently the parents don’t find it worth while to teach normal behaviour to them. But. As said. Massive big nice pool for your swim

If you rent an apartment here you expect a pool and gym as shown. The gym equipment is ancient and much of it broken. The only cycle machine is broken and apparently not been repaired in over a year as were the two cross trainers also broken for more than a year. There is no air conditioning in the gym but as most of the equipment is broken you don't need it. Even if you rent a condo there you pay for the pool that is not very clean. Contract has added charges that weren't shown on my contract when I signed it. I had to pay extra at the end of the lease for using the lift and being able to flush the toilet! That is in addition to water and electricity charges. Lights often not switched on in corridors and stairwells even when it is dark. Has all the feeling of a bankrupt and poorly maintained complex. AVOID…

Awful. Dark dingy building with most of the lights switched doff in the corridors. Room hasn't been decorated in 20 years, mold all over the ceiling in the bathroom, vents filthy, AC unit clogged with dirt, stained curtains and furnishings, old brown furnishings with dirt in all the edges. Old electrical equipment, The photos shown are of a new building. Most apartments are in much older buildings that look like they haven't been decorated since they were built probably 20-30 years ago. I got an ear infection in the pool. Wifi didn't work when I was there nor some of the lights in my room. Location ok but trash strewn roadway to the nearest shopping centre. Truly horrible.

Awful and expensive. I agree with previous reviewer about the noise from the pool, both the screaming children and the swimming instructor especially! He was so inconsiderate to others. I also agree that people are charged far too much for utilities at multiples more than the landlord pays. It doesn't seem right that the landlord profits from poor insulation. Corridors have no lighting sometimes even at night. No lighting in stair wells. The landlord seems to save money wherever they can. The gym equipment is positively dangerous. In the UK the owners would probably be in jail. Someone was injured by broken equipment when we stayed there. Nice gardens and location but the walk to Maya is a lesson in environmental pollution in Thailand with 2 tonnes of plastic and rubbish littered about and stinking water channels full of plastic that no one cares to collect. You would think the landlord would spend some of their huge profits to take a little care of the environment outside their door if other Thai people will not. I found the place rather depressing as well as very very noisy!…

This place is well located and set in well maintained gardens but the apartments are something out of Stalin's Russia, poorly designed, austere and dark with inadequate furniture and contents. It is ok if you are fine with noise, but if your apartment is near the pool (and 40% of them are) you will find the noise intolerable. Screaming children all day and evening and swimming classes run by shouting Scandanavian swimming instructors into the evening. Residents have to pay for the pool. Visitors pay only marginally more and there are swathes of outside visitors with their children. Mostly Chinese. The buildings are run on a shoestring with most of the lighting not working in common areas and quite often switched off completely when it is pitch dark. Electricity is charged at almost 3 x the government rate. Water machines, washing machines etc are charged at rates multiple more than the norm for Chiang Mai. My apartment wa svery dirty when I got it but I am compelled to pay an exit fee of 1,000 bht despite it being cleaner than when I got it. The leases can be flexible but other than that would avoid at all cost. The buildings internally are very depressing and very very old fashioned…

Location is good. Near Maya shopping mall and Nimman road with many good places to eat or shop and also other infrastructure accessible. The city center is not far, couple of minutes in tuk tuk or Red Taxi, walking distance around 25 minute. Pool is ok, nice coffee in front of building no.1 reception. Rooms are basic but sufficient.

We stayed for 3 months , in and out. we rented the 2 bedroom apartment In Green Hills 1 for 3000 AED ( 800 euro) and moved to 3 for a smaller place after 1 month. The pool and the Gym are definitely a big plus, but they charge 50 bath when you are resident to use the pool. If you pay cash for your rent, they give you some free passes. When we left in May, a second pool was under construction. a little bit expensive considering some of the flat are outdated . wifi works really well in the flat, It is supposed to be fully furnished, but if you stay for a month, buying some cutlery will be necessary. It is just behind Maya in Nimman area , which is great . Cost of Laundry is a it expensive as you can find way cheaper closer to the place. The staff was over all nice . But as I now know chiang Mai, I can find better and cheaper for sure specially if staying 3 months.…
