Peaceful and quiet with great aesthetics and a helpful staff. We loved the porches, flowers and trees surrounding the pool, lovely massages, and plentiful breakfasts. The staff also assisted in finding us competent English speaking drivers for various day excursions into the surrounding area to see temples, national park, elephant camp, craft village, etc. I think it was the perfect... We have stayed at the hotel as part of a family trip around northern Thailand. Actually, this was a fall-back option after the hotel we previously stayed at turned out falling short of expectation and we moved out early. The Puripunn is quite a unique hotel, which I actually find difficult to describe. They try to create the "classical" Thai... More

Don't be worried as your cab driver winds through the back roads of the city and takes you through an alley on the way to the least expected location for Puripunn. This boutique hotel is nestled in a residential area. You are immediately welcomed by the staff. We arrived at approximately 11:00pm and were sat down in the lobby, given... More

Stayed at the Puripunn from the 25th of March 2012 for four nites. There was four of us travelling and we cannot say enough about this hotel. It's small and quiet and very nice. The rooms especially are decorated perfectly and we found this hotel to be a peacefull place to stay. Owner spoke to us on a few occasions... More

We stayed at the Puripunn in January 2012 which was our second visit to the hotel, previously visiting in August 2011. The Hotel is first class, the staff are extremely friendly as is the owner who approached us on two occasions to ensure that our stay was up to standard. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. The hotel... More

We have just completed our third year of visits to Puripunn and it is always the best. The owners and staff are tremendous and visitors are so well looked after. The hotel is close to the centre of Chiang Mai but is a haven of peace and tranquility. Service and ambiance are perfect and the famous Lanna friendliness and hospitality... More

Very over-rated Hotel set in an dark backstreet. Room was large, very dark with no full length wardrobes or drawers consequently we spent 4 days living out of our suitcases! Bathroom was large but water pressure very intermittent so showering was a problem. (NB NO shower caps provided) Outside area, around the small pool, was cramped, uncomfortable and slightly claustrophobic... More

Don't be put off by your arrival - the back streets and the apparent darkness of the deluxe rooms. You soon realise it's a haven and the room has everything you need. The bathroom is very spacious - the step down occasionally caught us out and the light coming through the bathroom window was impossible to shut out. The staff... More

A lovely place well thought out and planned . The decor was tasteful Thai with Jim Thomson scarves framed or as cushions. It is built around a luscious garden and small swimming pool. The service is charming and friendly without being intrusive. Breakfast is cooked and served outside with the staff well wrapped up against the cold-rather like a pleasant... More
