I was in Chiang Mai for ten days but I did not stay at Julie's even one night. Instead my friend and I hung out there almost everyday. This is one of the most social hostels I've seen in the world and I've seen a lot. I must say the staff was not at all friendly but all the travelers... More

very colourful and social, which instantly draws you in. We were in a double bed private room but the fan kept breaking down. They did manage to fix it by nightfall though, thankfully. Food is reasonably priced and it's also close to two awesome cafes, Funky Monkey and the Mickey Mouse cafe (right at the entrance of the lane Julie's... More

Staff were extremely rude and cocky. They are really unhelpful and walk around with a scowl. The rooms were ok but for a dorm you can pay 20baht more for J.J's next door and get really friendly staff. If it wasn't for the poor service, this place would be great. Its a shame.

This place is REALLY popular so its a good place to meet other travelors....thats about it. The rooms were icky and the service was poor. Normally I yould say, we are to old to stay at backacker places, but this one is really recommendable. The staff is absolutely helpful, the prices are really low, compared to a backpacker place it is really clean, even people with babies have been there, the food is absolutely great, better then a lot of other restaurants in Chiang Mai.... The area around the guesthouse is nice, calm, the café Mickey is really cool, everybody is smiling and helpfull in Chiang Mai except people who work there. That's to bad because it's lovely, the food is good, it's cheap and the bedrooms are ok. I don't know if they have to much success or if they really don't care about... More

I think this is one of the most popular hostels in Chiang Mai. Makes sense because it rocks. Book ahead. Rooms are simple and beds are hard but the prices are low. Food served there is affordable and tasty. They books tours for you, but it's worth shopping around. There are many tourist agencies along the streets in the area.... More

I stayed one night at Julie's guesthouse in a private room, double bed, fan, and hot shower. Entering Julie's guesthouse feels very inviting there are always young travelers sitting in the common area and free pool table. The staff is always busy and helpful when you get a hold of someone. The room was clean and quiet. The guesthouse is... More

We stayed in a double room for 300bath per night with our own bathroom. The room was clean, the beds were nice comparing to most of the very hard beds in asia. The staff was very nice and helpfull. The hostel has a great atmosphere and several lounges were you can meet other backpackers. Really enjoyed our stay here, would... More

At the reception, the girl who received us, wasn't friendly at all, guess she had a bad day. We paid 250B for one night, in a double bed room. It was clean, in the garden we chilled out. There's free wifi available! Staff wasn't that friendly, but hostel was okay! Good value!
