I was moved to this hotel because of a mistake in bookings at the hotel I was originally booked into. The hotel is simple, clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful, good and prepared to order. The downsides were that the wifi didn't always work and the rooms are a bit shabby.

Staff - without exception - are exceedingly helpful, gracious and knowledgable. Breakfast options are varied, cooked to order and delicious. Room decor is simple. Amenities address the modern traveler's requirements including fast WiFi and multiple power points. Cleanliness is beyond reproach! Location is close to the old quarter but far enough away to avoid the constant din. Price is right... More

I stayed here for two nights each for three times, a total of 6 nights. Emails are politely and promptly answered. The staff helpful. The breakfast is good. And the Vietnamese know how to boil eggs just perfectly. No green outside the yolk with the centres just set. But I digress. I stayed in 3 rooms, 602, 502, 601. Two... More

An ideal hotel located in the French quarter away from the hustle and bustle of the Old Quarter. We book at short notice with a complicated booking. That is we stayed one night, went to Halong Bay for two nights and return to the hotel for our final two nights in Hanoi. The hotel took great care of our bags.... More

This place is definitely one of the quieter places to stay in Hanoi. The constant horn honking late into the night means a quiet place is important! It is also very clean and the breakfast is delicious - try the pho. The room we stayed in was quite big, sparse but modern-looking, with a good TV. It is budget accommodation... More

Stayed here for four nights based on recommendation from a friend. It's located on the edge of the Old Quarter near the Cathedral, so it is conveniently located for sightseeing without the madness of Old Quarter. The corridors are a bit no frills, but the room is decent: good size, clean, comfortable, flat screen TV with international channels, internet connection... More

Recommended by a friend, we had 3 very enjoyable nights at Joseph's Hotel in Hanoi. The location is excellent - the area around the cathedral has plenty to offer, a few minutes walk from the lake but it's far enough away from the madness of the backpacker area. The staff were very welcoming and the room was spotless. The breakfast... More

We stayed for three nights at Josephs, after reading reviews here. We walked in off the street and booked on spec for two nights, then another night after a Halong bay tour and a late checkout. Price was good at $45 per night and 50% of a day rate for a 5pm checkout. The rooms are simple, but bright, spacious,... More

We had booked 3 nights at Joseph's Hotel and ended up staying an extra 2. We only have praised for this hotel. It is very well located in a quieter part of town (next to Joseph's Cathedral) but only 5 minutes walking from Hoan Kiem Lake and 10 minutes from the Old Quarter. We asked for our Airport transfer to... More

This was my third visit to HaNoi and I stayed in the Joseph's Hang Da hotel for 12 nights. Area felt alive but not too busy. Good location for sightseeing local attractions. Very friendly helpful staff and delicious breakfasts cooked to order. Room was super clean and comfortable - not cramped and the rain shower was great. Definately the best... More
