Previous 2 reviewers could have read my thoughts. Don't think those awarding excellents/5 stars actually stayed in this hotel as don't know where they are coming from. Shabby, tired rooms & bathrooms, black/broken grout in pool and........ jacuzzi - don't even go there - disgusting looking. The pool area is poky and unappealing and not a place to linger, much... We have just checked into this hotel and to say we are disappointed is an understatement!! The rooms whilst a good size are run down and in need of a serious makeover!! Totally agree with the previous comments about the toilet seats and the state of the bathrooms!! Certainly not a 5 star resort more like a 3 star!! We... More

We booked the hotel so quickly as the travel agent in Bangkok, very kindly, lend us her computer. I saw good reviews but when we got there and arrived to the room, I could not believe the state of the toilette seat. I always carry with me cleaning tissues, so after i cleaned it the stains were still there. Went to... More

This was a very nice hotel. I enjoyed a nice noodle meal from room service on arrival, which was very tasty. The room was large and spacious and very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Of particular interest was the nightclub within the hotel itself - a modern dual level room with dance floor and bar,... More

The Melia situated on Ly Thuong Kiet St in Hanoi is a excellent hotel away from the hustle and bustle of the general tourist area around Hoan Kiem Lake. The rooms are very good and generally large in size and have panoramic views over a smoggy Hanoi, the breakfasts are first class and in general this is a very high... More

The Melia could slot into most European or American cities as easily as it does Hanoi: a large, multi-storey business hotel which works very well. Our "superior" room was the largest hotel suite we've ever stayed in: the big sitting room with a huge desk in one corner had a touch of an office about it; there was a separate... More

I really was´nt expecting to find a hotel as good as The Melia Hanoi in Vietnan. Amazing services, conciergerie, spacious suites, restaurants and spa. The attention devoted to the guests is really a diferential. They allowed me a later check out (5 hours), free entrance in the spa and ammenities until my flying time. It´s strongly recomended.

spent two nights in this hotel at begining of april. trouble free check in wonderfully pleasant staff made this a great choice for our whistlestop stay in hanoi. we where on a bed and breakfast deal and the breakfast could not be faulted, both eastern and western choices available. because of late arrival and full day tour the next day...
