Stayed here during my trip not too long ago. it wasn't too bad. at night, you can take a walk outside the hotel and there will be people selling stuff on the streets. interior of the hotel looks fine. Breakfast is standard. Rooms looked okay too. It's Vietnam, so you can't compaint much. Overall, it was acceptable.

It is an old hotel but basic need like cleaniness and shopping convenience makes my 5 days stay a pleasant one.

We chose this hotel because of its location, we thought it was close to the National Convention Centre but it wasn't, in fact very few taxi drivers even knew where the Centre was. I stayed at the Asean for three weeks during Novemeber whilst working in VietNam. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful, food is fine, laundry was returned within the day, speedy room service.
