We ended up here as our Halong Bay cruise was cut short due to severe fog. A lot of hotels were full and this was all that was left. On arrival we were treated by pushy staff who quickly showed us to the room on the ground floor next to the breakfast area. This room is damp, musty and noisy,... More

We stayed here with a large group of experienced Vietnam travellers. We were diverted here due to lack of space at the Gia Thinh. Some people were happy with their room but we got a really small room out the back. The toilet was almost unusable because it was poked away between a wall and a bath with no space... More

Forewarning: I did NOT stay at this hotel but I was so upset when I left the hotel I felt compelled to write a review because I've never felt so upset. I came into this hotel to check out the room. Upon arrival no one was at the reception desk so a man sitting at the tour desk helped me.... More

Stayed in the Sunshine 3 for 3 nights. Single room was 18 dollars with AC. I was initially showed a windowless room at the back of the hotel which had a musty, mold smell, and then went up 1 floor (on a very narrow, rigged up staircase) to another room with a window. Price quoted was 25 dollars, but they... More

Great location, friendly staff and decent rates. Rooms are clean - bit pushy with the tours though

Hanoi hotels, perhaps unsurprisingly, don't give you as much for your Dong as elsewhere in Viet Nam. If you just want budget stay in a good location, Sunshine 3 would probably fit your bill. However, the staff were apathetic and the breakfast was the worst we had experienced on our travels. Despite paying for a Deluxe room, our bathroom was... More

I stayed at Sunshine 3 hotel in September 2010. Didn't gave a reservation; I just walked in, took a look at the room, and after finding it ample, decided to take. I bargained for a small discount after deciding not to go for the breakfast. The hotel was nothing sensational, but quite adequate which was good - it was basically... More

I stayed here for a few days while in Hanoi, though I wish I had allocated more time for this city. The Sunshine 3 - confusingly down the street from Sunshine 1 - is located in the backpacker area of Hanoi, and is very convenient. It's close to loads of shopping, both touristy and local, restaurants and street vendors, and... More

It was a sudden & first business trip for me to Hanoi & the hotel was a bit nearer to my Client office. I have stayed 3 nights was charged USD18 per night for a single standard room. The sad part was even though, I have made reservation for airport pick-up (USD16, a bit expensive) but no arrangement was made... More

I checked into the hotel at 8 pm. The staff was friendly and helped me carry my bags to the second floor. The room was spotless. The staff spoke English, which is good when you first arrive Vietnam. My room had a computer in it with internet. The only thing I didn't appreciate was that the buffet breakfast was located... More
