This hotel has fantastic old-world charm. The rooms were elegantly appointed but not "dated" or poorly maintained. There was a turn down service (chocolates on the pillow - yum!!) The staff were friendly and pleasant and we organised a great day tour for $60AUD pp to the Cu Chi tunnels and around the city in a brand new Mercedes, with... More

I just returned from short one-night stay at the Hotel Majestic on a brief visit to Ho Chi Minh City. The arrival of our flight into Ho Chi Minh from Hanoi was delayed by over 3 hours due to bad weather conditions over the Ho Chi Minh airport, which meant that our aircraft had to be diverted to Phnom Penh... This is a great hotel with a lot of history and good location. The hotel has been refurbished while still maintaining it's old character. Our room had a very large super king bed, which cramped the extra space. Service was very polite and efficient. Most of the staff spoke English and were helpful. Breakfast spread was good. The tropical fruits... More

My wife & I decided to head to the roof for a romantic drink (as recommended by our hotel - see review of Ma Maison). While one could argue the view is 'priceless', the drinks (and food, I assume) are most certainly PRICEY. One beer (no, not even a premium one), cost 100 dong (that's about 5 times the average... Great location in the Dong Khoi area of Saigon, a quick walk or cheap taxi ride to all the main attractions and restaurants. Great base for exploring the city. The gym was decently equipped, the pool is nice, the rooftop bars have great views (but too expensive for more than 1 cocktail before venturing out to get some $0.50 beers).... More

I've visited this place for 3 times since 2007. For me it's the best place in town. Location is great! Very convenient to everything! The price (~200$ per night) is acceptable for this level of quality and location. All the room was renovated and has flat screen tv and wi fi. Check in and check out was fast and easy.... More

On the 8th april my partner and i , checked into the majestic hotel which we hadn't booked in advance. The manager offered us a room upgrade at no extra charge, which was kind of him.As i filled in the usual paperwork, i then realized how much of a beautiful hotel it was ,chandeliers, ceiling roses , brass door handles... We had booked a colonial saigon river deluxe room for 3 nights. We were booked in a room on the first floor. The room looked exactly like in the photos - the only issue is that on the first floor the river view is almost non-existent: the balcony gives a view over all the electricity cables that hang at that... I cant remember how many times I have stayed here while setting up my business in Vietnam. There have been times when it has been a wondrous experience and times when I didnt think they cared. Overall it is a good hotel and its position is stunning although the building doent take advantage of it except on the top floor.... More

Grapped a last minute flash stay at this hotel for $80 in one of their entry colonial superior rooms. Stayed in room 510. The room was large with an equally good sized bathroo. Came with an LCD and good selection of channels. The wifi was free and a very good connection (the best i have experienced in vietnam). There was... More
