The Rex hotel is in a good location near to all the landmarks you would probably wish to visit in Ho Chi Minh. We stayed in the new wing and it was no problem to move us to a quieter room facing the rose garden, when we asked. Our room was very comfortable and there was even a soft "topper"... More

My husband stayed here, courtesy of the US Army, in 1968, so the return to the Rex was a sentimental one for him. He was not disappointed, and neither was I. The hotel has been beautifully renovated, and the new wing (where we stayed) is well-appointed and comfortable. We were there at the beginning and end of our 3-week trip... More

I stayed here on a business trip and I was rather worried after reading some of the previous reviews. Fortunately, I am glad to say that they are somewhat unfounded. Yes, I stayed in the "old" wing and yes the bathroom was not great, but very clean. In summary, this is still a five star hotel unlike the impression created... More

We stayed in the Rex Hotel old wing, right before they started to renovate it. And let me tell you that they needed to ! So at first, we stayed in a spacious room right on Pasteur which might one of the noisest street in Saigon ! The next day we asked to change to a quieter room, but we've... More

My partner and i decided to take our neice and nephew to Vietnam on the way to europe and booked a classic room at the Rex hotel. The location of this hotel is arguably the best in HCM. Opposite the peoples committee building and a stones throw away from every big attraction in Saigon. After booking the classic room, we... More

We stayed here on the last night of our trip, having stayed in the Caravelle previously. I would imagine it was a good hotel in its day but it is very tired looking now with no soul. the room was so dated it was like the land time had forgotten. We couldn't get wi fi in the room and IT... More

Stayed for 3 nights. The staff were friendly and always ready to serve with a smile. Though high on the price compared with other hotels of the same category, the experience is to feel the hotel of the 70's deco especially the room.

In the past this was one of the most famous hotels in Saigon. It is located in the center of Ho Chi Minh City. All the famous spots (Opera, Town Hall, Notre Dame, Post office) are in walking distance. If you enter the hotel today the reception and lobby area is still impressive and meets today´s requirements. Here you find... More

We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed it immensley, beautiful view to the gardens across the road and the Peoples Committee building. Easy walk to the General Post Office, Notre Dame and the Reunification Palace, terrific restaurants in very easy walk. The lobby restaurant worked really well for us, both for dinner and lunch, really reasonable prices. The breakfast restaurant... More
