Just a word on the Star Hotel. If you pay by credit card, they slap on an extra fee - probably the fee the credit card company charges them. This is a bad practise and not allowed. Since we did not carry much cash, we had to by by card but complained later to the credit card company.

This hotel is well located in District 1, just near the new Park Hyatt, Caravelle and Sheraton Hotels. The whole hotel is tiled, so the noise in the hallways just echoes into your room. Stayed on the 11th floor, Elevators were a bit slow, but room was spacious clean and quiet. $55USD/night for the Superior room was good value.

This was a very clean hotel with new fittings and a comfortable bed. We stayed in the superior room for $55 US which was spick and span.
