Rooms are spacious enough and a good value for money! The hotel was very clean, staff were lovely & very helpful.
I had a pleasant 5 night stay at the blue river in May 2012. We secured our rooms for $13 per night which I felt was good value. The location was good - right in the heart of the backpacker district, located very close to lots of bars and restaurants. The hotel was very clean and the rooms although small,...

Great location but small rooms, overall good value for money. Shower over toilet arrangement which is ok but water just trickled out. Staff were lovely & very helpful offering good tips about getting around Saigon safely. Breakfast choice was small but fresh & served witha smile.
We had a fairly comfortable stay at Blue River. Rooms are spacious enough with mini bar and television and comfortable bed and a/c only down fall for us was that the shower never ran warm otherwise good value for money!
Clean, pleasant facilities -- tv, good bed, renovated bath, ac, tasty omelette and pho -- provide a very nice experience. Add the sound of music as owner Thuy practices her piano about 10:30 am as well as terrific staff and service and the Blue River becomes something special. That service included arranging a wonderful 3-day Mekong Delta tour, a personal...

This hotel is in a side street of the backpacker district. There is rooms to the alley on the front and back side, with a view to the outside wall of the neighboring building. I would recommend the book to the front room, even if the slightly more expensive. The rooms are spartan, but with a big giant flat screen...

Though probably a bit more expensive than other hotels in the backpacker area, it is well worth to stay there. Clean and really comfy bed, at least in the room on the top floor, BUT it is quite a hike up there!
We booked two tours with them as well: Cu Chi Tunnels - operated by a really good company;...

This mini hotel is in one of the few little lanes off Pham Ngu Lao St that are quiet particularly as it is in close proximity to Bui Vien St which is the heart of the backpacker district. It is newly renovated and the rooms all have en suite. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are clean and well...

Great location, small lane off busy street so nice and quiet. Comfortable beds. Clean room. Great shower. Best of all very helpful and friendly staff. One of the staff even took us for beer and snails. Delicious!
Blue River is smack bang in the middle of the backpacker district which can be good or bad depending on your perspective. We only had 3 days in Saigon so it was good for us to be in the thick of the action. I booked a superior room with balcony. For the extra money I doubt the "outlook" over a...
