Very good place to get a feel for long gone glorious colonial period. Large room with good view on citadel which is just across the river. Good service. Great garden for breakfast under old trees accompanied with bird music. Rooms not brand, so pick other hotel if you prefer new over charm. We loved the place

If you like French colonial style hotels with some serious guests on record, then this is the right hotel! It has beautiful, spacious rooms with shiny wooden floors and with most of them facing the Perfume river. This is stiff competition to the ***** La Résidence further down the road!

We stayed here as part of our tour. It was a lovely looking hotel, Huge rooms. Nice but not exceptional breakfast but it was outside and a great venue. Handy to everything and I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is four star, but the rooms and the fabulous buffet breakfast make you feel five star. Reception staff were very helpful and housekeeping/laundry were better than we expected. We would stay there again.
