Hi. First of all, I must say this hotel is one of the best comfortable hi in Baku, because center of city is very near to hotel. You can go to center of city for 5 minutes by taxi. Personal are very optimist, especially Arzu. She served us at the breakfast. We accepted her serves with great pleasure. Besides Arzu, Aysel is also contacted with us .

I stayed here while touring Baku and the seaside resorts. Room was very spacious and well decorated. Staff was friendly and helpful, especially in the breakfast restaurant. Breakfast was ok, very European. Location is good. Not right in center but easy enough to access.

I don't know anything about the rooms since I was there only for breakfast and Lunch. Breakfast is served as a buffet. Nothing spectacular but what do you want for 5 AZN (About 3€)? But the place is clean and food is good.Served from 08:00 to 11:00. On weekdays many local clerks from the government offices come there to have lunch. Water and some compote, soups, vegetables cold and warm, a few warm dishes, and fruit as desert. All this for 6 AZN. It was tastier then in many other less cheap restaurants. You enter the hotel, turn left and go to the basement. In the evening they serve à la carte.

l stayed at this hotel as it was very close to my customer's office.İt is located in a remote area which is far from anything. But it is on the way to the new Bazaar. My room was very large and full of all amenities and facilities necessary for a room.King size bed was very large and comfortable.Staff was very kind but hardly understands English. You have no problem with the staff if you communicate in Turkish.Breakfast is so and so,very limited.Did not try the restaurant but saw a very large wine cellar. There is a night club/discotheque at the basement which has some action during the night.

First the good news: the hotel is relatively clean although it smells of stale cigarette smoke and chemicals throughout. Other than that it has absolutely nothing to commend it. Rooms are ugly and unattractive. There are no basic amenities such as toothbrush glasses, no kettle, no cups, no cork screw, no full length mirror, just a tiny wardrobe with only four hangers, a 'safe' that is not secured in any way, synthetic soft furnishings, thin towels, one pillow per bed. Service is pretty basic too. Breakfast starts with 'what you want?' and there is little enough on offer. Supper, well a shepherd's salad with tomato, cucumber and cheese takes half an hour to arrive and then without cheese and no explanation. The whole experience of this hotel is dire and depressing and value for money it certainly isn't. I think i may need counselling after staying there!:)

Staying in Monolit Plaza is a special experience. The room is great, large and divided into sittingroom and bedroom. Same holds true for bathroom. Clean and two tv sets. So far the good news. People here do not speak nor understand English, but look little groomy. That will make a surprise whatever you get for breakfast, supper or diner. Dining room in cellar reminds of Sovjet time. Elevator (only one) very slow. Whine is good and surely affordable. During january I was the only guest. A bit out of the centre, approx 10" by cab/bus traffic jams permitted. Conclusion: for those not afraid to take a chance, reasonable value at 100 AZN a night. Paul Algra p.r.algra@mca.nl

The hotel located at the Badamdar municipality in Baku in the middle of boring suburbs. It is used either as a cheaper option for participants of conferences taking place in the nearby Kempinski Hotel, or by locals for gatherings in the wine cellar. Rooms are excellent. They are big and clean. There is free WiFi access in rooms. Breakfasts are very basic. There is actually no attractions near the hotel, but the distance from the city center is not big. Taxi costs ~5 euro.
