In my mind, the Pan Pacific Sonargaon is certainly the best hotel in Dhaka. There are only two rivals; the Westin in Gulshan and Radisson near the airport. This hotel is very pleasant - four star rooms with five star service. The lobby and restaurants were all very pleasant and the staff were very helpful. There is a small shopping mall near the lobby and a shop that stocks absolutely everything conceivable for a traveller, right down to DVDs to nail clippers! I ate in all the restaurants... More

Stayed multiple times and hotel has continuously improved. An oasis of calm and pleasant environs after the horrible Dhaka traffic. Rooms are comfortable, though furnishings and bathroom fittings are somewhat dated. Staff is exceedingly helpful and friendly. Nice classic hotel, with excellent staff. I loved the gym and pool area and the fact that they actually have an outdoor area which is usable. The rooms are up to standard, nothing flash but ok.
