I think we had smiles on our faces from the time we boarded the boat in Bandar to when we got dropped back the next day. Unfortunately we only did 1 night/2 days (700BND for both of us, including all travel, food and accommodation). We'll definitely stay at least 2 nights next time. The speedboat through the mangroves and nipa... More

What a terrific and unique experience - from the longboat rides in the rain (it is a RAINforest after all!) to exploring little off-shoots of the river on foot by day and by night to climbing very high above the forest canopy up steel walkways and seeing the dawn break - Ulu Ulu is simply magical. The guides were superb,... More

The staff cannot do enough for you. The food is delicious. The beds comfortable, the setting out of this world, the guides are friendly and attentive and the activities were great. I just wished I had more time to just sit and watch and listen and absorb the landscape. There were hammocks and day beds and loungers all along the... More

This is one of my favourite places I have ever been to! You are picked up in the city by your local guide who is at the local Jetty in BSB. You are then put onto a speed boat and your adventure begins. It is roughly a 45 minute boat ride, followed by a short drive to a smaller river... More

Ulu Ulu Resort is well worth a visit if you're in Brunei. You're picked up in Bandar, you take a water taxi across the bay and downriver, you take a bus and then connect to a long boat and go upstream on rapids. The resort itself is wonderful, built of wood and on the river with simple and tasteful bedrooms... More

As part of my partner's 30th birthday celebrations, we decided to stay at the Ulu Ulu Resort for three nights/four days. The adventure started in BSB where we were collected from our hotel by our fantastic tour guide Eddy and driven to the nearby jetty. We boarded a river taxi which took us to the eastern part of Brunei, the... More

Went here for a night stay with Korean delegates. The ride to the resort were mixed of feelings .. anxiety (first time riding on the boat), excitement and satisfied. The resort itself is breath-taking. I am local bruneian and I love it! The night walk, the canopy walk and the tube ride back to the resort were an adrenaline rush.... More

I stayed at Ulu Ulu resort for one night and two days - although the accommodation is basic you cannot expect better whilst being deep in the rainforest. The journey getting there is amazing on the long boats and a trip you will never forget, you do feel cut off from the rest of the world but this can be... More

Dear bee075, A big hello from the Brunei rainforest! I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed yourself while you stayed with us, and for taking the sunrise canopy walk! It is a wonderful sight, and one I never get tired of. The bats do sometimes have a little too much fun at night but we are looking for a way... More

Did the two night/three day trip with daughter and were the only guests in the resort. Eddy the guide did an excellent job and went out of his way to make our experience individual and special. We did the canopy walk twice and saw a family of gibbons, family Macau, and rhinoceros horn-bill, and native squirrel. There was copious amounts... More

Dear Freya28, Thank you for your comments on our resort and valued team member Eddy, we appreciate it very much! The 3D/2N trip is wonderful, and gives you a good amount of time to rest; it sounds like you had a lot fun and got to see a lot of the local wildlife! You’re right that there is no TV... More

Excellent place for connecting with the nature. Resort is comfortable but probably needs some maintenance. Boat Travel from Batang Duri to Ulu Ulu is wonderful experience. There is a Suspension Bridge to connect the resort with the jungle with Canopy Walks. Bridge was broken and will probably take 2-3 months to repair. Currently, you need to take boat to cross... More
