We actually showed up late Christmas eve and we were able to get a room quickly and conveniently. Like most hotels in Vientiane, the doors are lock after 10:30pm, which I'm okay with because in a way it's security. This hotel is quite pleasantly furbished with friendly owner and staff. A good location close to a few of the sights of Vientiane. Vientiane is quite ramshackle, but still has some charm. Most sights can be seen in a day.
