We stayed at this hotel for four days. It is newly built hotel (as everything in the city). Located 30 minutes from airport and 15 minutes drive from city center. Really there is nothing around the hotel within walking distance. You can stop gipsy taxi and get to any place in the city for 5 manat (2,8 manat for 1... More

I had no choice, as this was a conference venue. The staff are unfriendly, the facilities lack maintenance and are out of date. The conference room is miserable, the computer could not support Powerpoint attached to projector. The projector bulb was almost dead and they had no replacement. The light switch was not in the conference room, but 25 meters... More

The President is a funny place. Some stuff is great, and some stuff is just, well, "off". On the plus side, the common spaces and rooms are visually stunning. The breakfast is pretty good, and the Grille restaurant was a pleasant place to take multiple evening meals. We consistently enjoyed the food. (Many thanks to Oksana, our waitress, for excellent... There are not many choices for hotels in the new area of Ashgabat, this one was very nice, rooms were clean but only half of them had balconies, no major issue. Internet in the whole of the country is snail paced, but half way through our 10 day stay they finally installed wireless routers on all the floors so we... More

I have stayed at the President hotel on a number of occasions. I keep thinking that I am missing something, but I don't think I am. The hotel is actually very nice, nice rooms, nice public spaces. But a business hotel you wouldn't really expect to have dial-up internet access. There is internet access in the lobby bar but it... More

The hotel lies on a ring road south of the city quite separate from the centre. You can't reach anything without a car. The room is spacious with the usual facilities and it all worked. TV was a bit of a joke but you can't blame the hotel for that. The only internet service was in the rear downstairs bar... More

Hotel President where I stayed with my friend for three days is a gorgeous hotel with while marbles, huge chandeliers, colorful fountains, swimming pool, garden, etc. The rooms are spacious, clean and luxurious, with a balcony providing a nice view of the mountains. The bathroom is nice too. You get good room service here. The staffs are good too. The... More

The President Hotel is a good place to stay while you are at Ashgabat. It is nearby the airport, just a 30 mins drive. It is richly adorned with white marbles, huge chandeliers, golden and glitz fountains, etc. There is a large garden and a nice pool too. I and my friend stayed here for two days. The rooms are... Ashgabat is a weird place - there's no other way to describe it. But if your travels take you there, the President Hotel is as good a place to stay as any. The capital city is the showcase of a country anxious to impress, and the President Hotel has the same lofty ambitions. Lots of white marble, enormous chandeliers, lots... More

The hotel driver was still waiting for me at 4.30 am after 2 hours delay in baggage reclaim (what a crazy system they have at the airport). I advise you to get a visa before arriving rather than just turn up with a letter of invitation as there was a huge queue at the visa counter - though I guess... More
