I stayed at the Swissotel The Bosphorus 12 years ago and loved the experience - it was the top quality hotel in Istanbul at the time, offering contemporary, understated luxury all round and simply magnificent views. On my return to the Swissotel in May 2012 there still a lot to admire about it, however some parts of this grand hotel... More

You know when you're in Istanbul when you stay in Swissotel Bosphorous and wake up to the magnificient view. The executive floors have their own lounge where you can eat and drink all day long, if you choose to stay inside.

Went on a business trip paid by the company I work on May 2012. At first sight, the hotel is very impressive. It stands close to a park in a very green, hilled area and you can see it from far away when getting there. Location however it is not best, far from historical peninsula and middle distance to the... More

We stayed here because we had a night included as part of a cruise package and so added a couple of extra nights. I have stayed in Istanbul twice before in other hotels and was so very disappointed in this place, which was sad for my husband's first visit. Unlike others who were allocated higher floor rooms, we were on... More

The hotel has a superb location on a steep slope overlooking the Bosphorus near the Dolmabahce Palace. It has clearly been designed to give as many rooms as possible a view of the Bosphorus, but on the lower levels this view is obscured by trees. It seems to cater in large part to business/conference travellers. Rooms are well-sized and equipped... More

This hotel has excellent quality concerning rooms, views and a superb buffet for breakfast, one of the best. Restaurant for breakfast is located in front of the Bosphorus. Room views to the Bosphorus are partial. I disliked that wifi was charged, it was the only hotel that charged us for the internet during our trip. Location is not good for... More

Swissotel is a charming hotel with (arguably) the best views of the bosphorous. Pricey and booked/overbooked most of the time, i am now getting a bit disappointed with this place. Excess demand and super rich margins make you complacent and this is what is happening here. You get a wide smile and a blank stare when you give them feedback... More

It is a five star hotel. With all things that you can imagine. The rooms are nice, and the food as well. The internet access is not good and is too expensive. In my opinion unnecessary

Everything was great about this hotel, only thing that could be better was location since you couldn't easily get anywhere without taking a taxi part of the way.

The rooms were modern and my corner one overlooked the Dolmabahce Palace and the Bosphorus. At evening cocktails in the Club Room, a bartender mixed "dirty martinis" tableside! I found it convenient to a highend shopping district with many outside eating venues. I was relocated here for one night due to an overbooking at my original hotel (and cannot comment... More
