We picked this hotel for its location...and it is indeed perfectly located. The hotel is 4 stars and the staff is really courteous and nice. The superior rooms have a high standard as long as you do not get the Ground floor ones (one window to the garden that you cannot open without people in the garden listening or seeing... More

If it is your first visit to Istanbul this is probably the best hotel to get a real Turkish feel, it is a wonderful conversion of a prison, but there is nothing cell like to the rooms they are luxurious in an Ottoman style. It does lack Bosphorus views, but to make up you walk out of the hotel right... More

Beautiful hotel in a great location. The courtyard garden is spectacular and a nice reprieve from all the action in the area (hotel is located in the old city among the many historical sites). Rooms are large with tastefully luxurious baths. Definitely a first-rate experience and we would stay there again when in Istanbul. Go to the rooftop to get... More

This is the best hotel in Istanbul! We were fortunate to have the concierge refer Tolga. Tolga's handling of a complex and challenging tourist schedule was masterful! He is personable, efficient, knowledgable and extremely accomodating to the needs of his clients. WE HIGHLY RECCOMEND HIM!! Thank you, Tolga!

Like some other reviewers, I was surprised by the rates, but decided that since the hotel is so close to many of the major sights, it would be worth it. And considering Istanbul traffic, I don't know how often we would have traveled to Sultanahmet if we'd stayed elsewhere. It's an hour drive if the traffic is bad from the... More

Dear Mezchiat_2008, My name is Felix Murillo, I am the General Manager of the Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet. Prior to return to Istanbul after 15 years of having opened this same property, I was in Buenos Aires, at the Four Seasons (amongst other Four Seasons around the world). Attentive service, well sorted breakfast with interesting choices, a calm oasis but yet near to the historic sites, historical building with nice details.

this hotel repeatedly gets good reviews and I understand why, and believe it deserves excellent reviews. For location, it can't be beat a minute from Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, shopping, restaurants. And yet within the lovely grounds it is calm, quiet and pretty. Traffic in the old city is however a bear, a drawback to the location if you are... More

We can only add our voices to the chorus of praise for this amazing hotel. An oasis of tranquillity and calm in the city, the rooms, food and service are absolutely outstanding. The staff were so helpful and efficient, but in a relaxed, friendly way and we really enjoyed chatting to them about their lives, work and travels. At times... More

From the moment we entered the hotel we knew it was a special place. Hotel staff can make or break your opinion of a hotel and this group was superb!!.
