We stayed in this hotel for the second time in september 2010. The hotel is comfortable. T he rooms are quite small but clean. Lobby was a bit small but had very comfortable sofas. Breakfast was ok and the variety of the stuff served was limited. The lights in the corridors went on and off automatically and unless you huried... More

We stayed here for over a week and it was fine. Very busy with a lot of coming and going in the lobby and consequently the lifts took a while to arrive sometimes. We had a room each which was excellent but they were probably a bit small for sharing - not much storage space either. Cleaned daily though, plenty... More

A very busy property, this one. With the pool, gym, sauna, well-appointed rooms, 24hr reception, bar, gift shop, free wi-fi and proper restaurant, this hotel deserves it's four stars.  The location can not be beat, two blocks from Taksim Square. Central, right amongst all the restaurants, nightlife, banks, other hotels, and cafes. Of course this means your only issue is... More

We stayed at the hotel with my wife for three nights. Our room was on the seventh floor. The room was small but had a great view of one part of the city. The noise from the traffic though was very loud, could even hear it with the windows closed. The mattress was awful. Very old, hard, and almost broken... More

Hotel is in great location just a minutes walk from the Taksim square. It is a bit outdated in design and a bit murky but eventually you get used to it and it feels ok. Rooms were not so big but functional. Breakfast is also nice with a bit variety. Probably not a match to the big luxury hotels in... More

I stayed at Golden Age 2 for three nights last week and I was plesantly surprised. The first room we were given was noisy and we asked to have it changed and then got a room with the most magnificent view of Istanbul. The second one was alo much bigger and beds were more comfortable. The hotel has perfect location,... More

Comparing with 4 star hotels around the world,I think, you should consider most of Istanbul 4 star hotels as a 3 star ones. In my experience at Golden Age 2 hotel, most of the services and conditions are average.Rooms are not luxury and unfortunately we couldn't open the window cuzz the exhaust fans were just below the window and made too much... We stayed here for 5 nights recently and really liked it. This is undoubtedly the best place to stay in Istanbul as is so conveniently located to Metro, Tour Buses, Airport Shuttle and above all walking distance to Taksim Square & the famous Istiklal Street. The area around is so lively and interesting that you can't be bored at all...late... More
