I booked the Antik Hotel through an Istanbul Travel Professional for an Alumnae group that I was co-leading in Turkey in May, 2012. This was a good choice. The Antik is just off the busy tram street and is on a quieter side street but in close proximity to the Grand Bazaar and not a long walk at all down... More

Nice location and easy to reach all the main historical places by walk or by tram. Two tram stops are close to the Hotel. We have received a room upgrade when arrived free-of-charge. Staff at the reception was available upon request of information. Breakfast was good but not so many cakes and sweet food is offered. The room was clean... More

The hotel is 2 1/2 to 3-stars. The rooms are typically European-style (quite small), ensuite bathroom (also very small). The rooms were clean. The decor is pleasant, but the walls are exceedingly thin. We could hear casual conversations and coughing from another room. We were there in April 2012; the weather was warm with cool nights, but the temperature in... More

Nice hotel, confortable rooms but small bathrooms. Staff not very friendly at the reception. Good breakfast buffet but their staff didn't clean the tables between 2 different customers. I ordered airport transfer at their reception but in the morning they told me that I had to pay the driver in cash which I wanted to avoid. The driver asked me... More

We stayed at the hotel for four days and from the moment we walked in the nightmare began. First, we walked in and we were not greeted by anyone at all. We walked up to front desk to check in and the girl at the front desk ( Neriman was her name) and again she didn't greet, her first words... More

I stayed in this hotel last week. The position is great especially if you want shopping at the Gran Bazar, also is very close to the tram stop, very easy to sightseeing. Rooms are very cleaned and the breakfast is plenty of veriety of food. Staff in the breakfast room and the chambermaid ( from Bulgaria ) are very nice,... More

We spent a week at the Antik hotel in July 2011 . We were 2 adult 2 children ( 13 and 16). ROOM: We made reservation based on the pictures we saw on the net. We asked for the "red suite". I don,t know about the other room but if you ask for the "red suite" you won't be disapointed... More

This small and rather old hotel has a good location for visiting Aya Sofia, the Blue Mosque and nearby attactions. Buffet style breakfast. I was staying in the annex just around the corner, which was at times quite noisy, the rooms in the hotel proper looked much better. Service was very helpful and language was no problem.

The location and facilities offered at the Antik Hotel are really first-rate. I was disappointed by the front office staff, however, who were cold, distant, unknowledgeable and unfriendly. The heat was on in the rooms to an uncomfortable level and the thermostat did not allow us to adjust it. We had a nice view from our window though and the... More
