We stayed at Cihangir Hotel for 4 nights. We had a "sea side view" which means we could see the Bosporous River...that was really the only highlight. The location was difficult for us to find....our cab driver couldn't figure out how to get there and as a result we had to walk through a sketchy and bumpy path to arrive... More

This hotel has a friendly staff but is far from the main attractions in Istanbul. The tram, however, is close by as is Takism Square. The rooms are average and dated but they are clean. Some have a good view of the Bosporus bridge. The breakfast was fine and included eggs and cold items. The hotel was very quiet and... More

The seaview rooms are well worth it. There are lots of restuarants nearby. Taksim is a great place to stay. The staff are very polite. The rooms are dated, but clean. The hotels I stayed at were priced in Euro's, but you pay in TLs. If you're concerned with currency fluctuations bring cash or have reservations quote you in TLs.

Three of us spent four nights here in mid-April. The hotel is fairly clean, the rooms are small and the staff are helpful, the breakfast is typical Turkish with a good selection of eggs, breads, and it's in a good location. Close to Taksim Square and Istiklal Caddesi. And yet it was quiet! Good view of the Bosporus and urban... More

This hotel is a hidden gem located in the best section of Istanbul. The rooms are not luxurious but neither are the prices. It includes a sumptuous breakfast and has a rooftop lounge. The staff are fantastic - so helpful, kind and courteous. Stay here if you don't demand luxury.

We stayed at the Cihangir Hotel for a week in August 2010. The location is brilliant. Really close to Taksim square and all it has to offer. Cihangir area itself is lovely and there are a few really nice resturaunts and bars within a few minutes walk. The hotel itself was very quiet and the view from the balcony (Bosphorus... More

I recently visited Istanbul for a week and stayed at the Cihangir Hotel. The hotel's location is wonderful. The view from the Bosphorus side is absolutely worth paying a bit extra for. Looking out of my window and seeing the Bosphorus Bridge was definitely a highlight of my trip. The walk to Taksim square, where mass transit and airport shuttles... More

I like the location of the hotel - walking distance from Taksim square , Cihangir street is nice , Really the Boshorus view is breathtaking. Breakfast included Turkish breakfast as I like. The rooms are small, but I did not expect more space for such price. The only thing that confused me is cleanliness. Definitely the hotel needs more thorough cleaning. I... More

I stayed in Cihangir Hotel after recommendation of a very close friend of me who stays there every time she visits Istanbul. The hotel is in the best possible convenient location. It is in Cihangir area, just 5 minutes walk to Taksim Square, far away from tourist trap hotels of Sultanahmet. Taksim square is the best place to stay in... More
