A friend of the family actually recommended me to stay at this hotel and was not disappointed one little bit.The room was spacious,clean,the staff was friendly,the breakfast was fantastic,and the location of this hotel was great..Good in every way.

From the metro-station "Merter" it´s ca. 10 min. to walk to this hotel. I had a nice single-room and the breakfast was okay. From Merter you can reach the old-town within 30 min. with the tram. Stayed here in transit through Istanbul. The hotel was 20 mins by Taxi from the airport (20TL there, and about 25TL back to airport). I stayed one night as I was flying in to Istanbul and then flying out the next day. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very accomodating. This is in a lively neighborhood with shopping, restaurants and conveniences nearby.

Turkish Airlines provides transit passengers with overnight stopover with a hotel. Gunes hotel is one of possible option. Me and my friend have been there waiting for a flight. The hotel was kindly offered by Turkish Airlines. Staff friendly and very helpful. It is near the airport (it's about 10 minutes from the terminal). The room was clean, bathroom little bit small but fine. The breakfast was great! I can suggest it!
