Lovely hotel on pedestrian street. Beds very comfortable. Staff very helpful. Nice pool and sauna in basement. Tram runs nearby. walking distance to all major attractions. Amazing varied breakfast. Stayed for four nights mid May. Can recommend the hotel for mature tourists.

We enjoyed four nights at the Safir, the room was smallish but comfortable (and charming according to my wife), the breakfast was good, the staff were exceptionally helpful, and the location was as good as it gets in Istanbul. Rates are reasonable, and because we stayed four nights, included free transfer in from the airport. Very highly recommended. This was... More

Lovely hotel. Very warm welcome. ALL staff are professional, helpful and happy. Room was a bit small but very clean and comfortable. Very good location for walking to major attractions. The tram runs at the end of the street. Quiet location, no traffic can enter street where hotel is situated. Good variety offered for breakfast. Restaurants close by. We were... More

We stayed in hotel Sapphire for 5 nights in May. Location is excellent, on a short walking distance to all major attractions. Wide choice of reasonably priced restaurants in the neighborhood. Exceptional service that will be difficult to find somewhere else, especially not for this price category. For breakfast enough choice offered. Room was on a smaller side, but we... More

We stayed twice during May at the Sapphire. Agree entirely that staff is lovely and helpful; waitstaff are self-effacing and deserve tips most people apparently forget. If you are briefly in Istanbul and want to do the requisite tourist routes, the Sapphire's location is perfect. Blue Mosque, Topkapi, etc are easy walks. What makes location good also interferes with the... More

I stayed at Hotel Safire for three nights in May. The staff were so lovely and helpful, not just those on the front desk but the busboys, the restaurant, the housekeepers, everybody. The room was perfect. Very comfortable. Close to all the major attractions and shopping areas. Lots of reasonable priced restaurants nearby. Can see it all by walking. You... More

Excellent location walking distance to the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace Haigh Sofia both Bazaars and the Basilica cistern... The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean but a bit dark. I would have liked a full length mirror as the only mirror in the room was at the back of the fridge and difficult to get close... More

We had only one night here after an airline reschedule made us change our initial booking, but wish that we had more. We were allowed to leave our bags two days before check in for no charge, were given drinks while we waited to speak to management, and were given a great gift on departure. I cannot speak too highly... More

We were guest at the beginning of May at the Sapphire hotel. The hotel is well situated at a walking distance of the famous attractions. It is also near the frequently running tramline which enlarges your radius. The reception staff are warm hearted but gave us the impression that their service was rather limited: when we wanted to consult a... More

For my introduction to Istanbul, this was a fantastic place to stay! Within easy walking distance to both Bazaars, Blue Mosque and other fantastic sites, this is the perfect choice for a hotel. Our room was quiet and clean, beds were comfortable and breakfast was generous. What made it even better was the genuine interest and friendliness of the staff,... More
