Despite enjoying our stay at the Marbien, some points are worth noting. Some rooms, especially those interconnecting, have no windows - at all. They are also very small indeed, although the space has been fairly well utilised. Excellent alternative to Sultanahmet, close enough to all the action on the Taksim side of the Golden Horn. TL5 cab ride uphill to Istaklal, with all the food/bar delights of Nevizade Sokak and surroundings very close at hand. Quick route in from airport, around 35 mins (in light traffic). Agree with most reviews. Staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming, which makes the stay very enjoyable. People and service there is the biggest draw of this hotel. I recommend this hotel because of the very helpful staff such as Mehmet( he talks Arabic very well) and Farouk. I recommend it too because of their hospitality.. The location is really very good! U can use the tram which is just opposite the hotel( very nearby)..
