If you're looking for a good place but below average room service, choose this hotel. Definitely not a deluxe hotel, but was worth what I paid for since I searched for a place near Taksim and Fatih.

I wanted to be optimistic about this hotel, but it was a huge disappointment. Arrived to find our reservations "did not exist" and were put up in another roach motel across the street. We arrived in Istanbul and were directed to this hotel by the Tourist Information place. The bedding was disgusting it had faecal stains on it and was ripped. The room was dark and stunk. The toliet was black. We asked for another room which was just as bad. We slept on top of the bed for 2 hours then packed... More

We have been in Aksaray Hotel 10 nights. Hotel building and every thing in it were old. The staff didn't know any language just Turkish and their behavior were not friendly. The room lighting was not sufficient. The air conditioner rarely was working well and you had to open the window but the highway noises caused you to close it.... More
