Excellent service at a clean, well kept, well managed and conveniently positioned hotel. I would certainly recommend anyone to stay here. The breakfast which included almost anything you could want was served on the terrace overlooking the Blue mosque was a highlight.

Like other reviewers - the location was ideal with views of the Blue Mosque and the Topkapi Palace from the 5th floor and of course the Bosphorus. The Tan is a small hotel with many nice features. It has a central location to most things in old Istanbul located between the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar. The breakfast room is delightful. Be sure to take the back streets from the Tan Hotel. They offer great short cuts down to Nuruosmaniye Caddesi (street) and across to the mosque and then out to the Grand Bazaar and onto the terrific Suleymaniye Camii.
