This is a completely unique place - breathtakingly beautiful, wonderfully peaceful and serene with the best views from a pool, walk to the dining room etc I have ever experienced anywhere. I have been going with my family every year for the last 6 or 7 years and for us it is much more relaxing and enjoyable than any spa... More

This hotel is extremely overpriced for the standard it offers compared with other alternatives in the area (You can get a much better accomodation in one of the hotels in the Ein Bokek area for about half of the rate charged by this hotel). We stayed in what was described as 'renovated' Desert room. It turned out to be a... More

We have just returned from Ein Gedi Resort Hotel. The hotel is a 3 star hotel, but with all the amenities for a wonderful vacation. Having read some disappointed reviews regarding the accommodation- it is best to pay a little more for the "Arugot rooms"- which are larger but most importantly with a beautiful view of the desert mountains or... The accommodation is very very basic, restaurant food is like a help yourself cafe but the produce is very fresh. No entertainment in the evening with nothing to do. The kibbutz grounds are beautiful with a Dead sea spa as well as Massada a few minutes drive. A worthwhile place to stay for its location, beauty & learning about the Kibbutz... More

While the botanical garden setting was beautiful and relaxing, dining room satisfactory and ancillary services acceptable, the accommodation provided us was most definitely sub-standard for the price demanded; particularly since there were higher-grade rooms vacant and available. Strictly '50's kibbutz quality and unacceptable at any price in 2011! The front-desk responses to our opinions was non-committal - we would not... More

Lived in Arugot room . Clean and cozy. Around such beauty and silence. Good breakfast and dinner. Bus in a spa on a schedule. No problems. Very pleased with visit to the kibbutz. More

We wanted to stay in a kibbutz and this was the closest we could get. The location is great for the Dead Sea area, though it is far from the beach. It is in a real functioning kibbutz which doubles as a botanical garden. The service is what you expect from a kibbutz, I guess. They expect you tohe food... More

We were staying in Arugot rooms with view of Arugot valley for 290 USD per night for a double room (halfboard). Pros: - *Great* location (wonderful botanical garden). However, you will be much happier in the area with a rental car (to visit Massada, King David Nature Reserve or just the dead sea without waiting for the shuttle bus) -... More

This kibbutz hotel has a choice of three room types. We stayed in the middle priced room. It was clean, big enough, and something akin to a nice motel room in North America. The kibbutz grounds is beautiful. The pool is great-large, plentiful lounge chairs, very good snack bar. There are activities to choose from every day including tours of... More

We were able to convince the hotel to bypass the 2 night minimum and stay only one night. However, it was so expensive it seems like they charged us for 2! We were in the Arugot wing which seemed newer, but it was very dated and tired. The dining room is an embarrassment but the food was fairly good. Enjoyed... More
