I wanted to comment on how wonderful the guest house and its staff was. We found Jerusalem rather intimidating in some ways but our accommodations were really superb and made the experience much more enjoyable. We really appreciate the help from the women working there, all of whom were competent, friendly and generous to an unusual degree.

I would like to give my personal review on my trip to the guesthouse. I travelled with my 2 friends and we arrived at 3am. I really appreciated the fact that Alex was there to greet us. On arrival we had to pay for our accommodation up front, I was initially shocked as i am used to paying at the... More

Its was a very good experience, I stayed there for 6days, the place was very clean !! and what is good about this hostel is that its right in the center of the old city, walking distance from the wailing wall is 5 minutes .and also 5 minutes walking to the market and the buses that take you to Bethlehem... The place is dirty, the Hotel Management is more than rude (Mr. Alex Jololian & Co), toilet & bathroom equipment was broken in every room we looked at, no cleaning and no fresh towel for 6 days!! Best of all: we had to pay 200 Euro for the reservation 5 months in advance, they charged for it 229 Euro. They... More

If you know Jerusalem and feel sympathy for its people, religious life and history, if you are openminded and ready for new experiences - be a guest in the Armenian Guest House, right on the Via Dolorosa. On the first view it's the location with its atmosphere, that makes the place unique. You will find renovated rooms, super clean and... More

The room itself was rather nice, but the bedding wasn't suitable for the bed, we also didn't get any new towels (we stayed for five nights). The breakfast is poor and the service also. The man who treated the breakfast had a serious lung illness, not a good idea....

This Guest house really benefits from its location and the lack of reasonably priced accomidation in Israel (e.g. IbisHotel, etc.) Good: Location, breakfast, comfortable Bad: After reviewing the numbers, they actually overcharged me 20 Euro, assuming to cover the credit card transaction cost. The interpersonla and English skill of reception staff

The Armenian Hostel was just right for our needs and budget. Absolutely perfect location - right in the heart of the Old City. This is obviously not 5 star but entirely adequate. Room basic but very clean. All the staff (particularly the two girls on reception) were amazingly friendly and over-the-top helpful. The only thing that let it down a... More

The rooms were very basic No adaquate storage for clothing or valuables, in fact our first room had no storage whatever. The bathroom had no working shower, no soap or hand towels/dryer. This guest reserved a dormitory bed in our guest house for 26 euro per night including breakfast. Our dormitory rooms have 12 to 18 beds in each room. This guest had her freind with her, both ladies above 60 years old. Because of their age we gave them a room with 3 beds only in order not to be disturbed... More

I was at the Armenian Guest House over the Good Friday/Easter holiday. Since the AGH is on the Via Delorosa I was able to witness the faith of pilgrims from all over the world. The AGH is everything one would want in a guest house and more. The hospitality was genuine and yet very professional. An excellent breakfast was provided... More
