Why the bad rating, When back packer accommodation, and even the buses in Israel offer free wifi, the constant lack in 5 star hotels is extremely disappointing (and expensive), it does not always suit to go out to attend to correspondence especially when on tour. Having got that bug bear off my chest, location is excellent and the rooms comfortable.... More

During my stay I was very impressed by the personal attention and care that was evident by the Management of this magnificent Hotel. In particular the Front Office Management Mr. Munir and Manuel who went the extra mile to assist me during my stay. I arrived from Brazil and did not have my credit card and they assisted me to... The most wonderful part of our stay at the citadel was the beautiful and delicious breakfast that we had overlooking the old city of Jerusalem. The staff was warm and helpful, especially Ata, who made sure my children had everything that they needed. Wifi was free and the location was excellent. Bring comfortable shoes because the best part is just... More

The price is that of a five star hotel but the service is with an attitude. It’s not uncommon to have a waitress snap back at you, we asked our waitress to bring another chair to the table, she just ignored us and moved on. We were billed extra when we requested more bread while having dinner in the lounge.... More

it is a great hotel! Location, Service, Ambience are all excellent. WF is free and there is no other charges for any other facilities like use of gym room etc. This is an extra bonus as I found other 5 star hotels in Israel beside being extremely expensive still charging extra for services. Like the Daniels/Herzliya: $21.- a day for... More

You can't beat the location, room cleaning, food and above all, the personnel at the morning breakfast. You can tell if the staff is just making nice because of the job or do they really mean it.The three individuals that waited on us are, Yausef,Said and above all Ata. Ata really comes from the heart and I hope along the way he... More

Having stayed at the David Citadel several (8 or 9) times previously, we thought we knew what to expect: fabulous location on Rehov David HaMelech overlooking the Jaffa Gate of the Old City, in clear view of its namesake, the David Citadel, across the street from Mamilla Mall; sumptuous breakfasts, excellent food and, and very good Israeli service. But, we... More

The hotel was 5 star. We had a beautiful room that was cleaned to perfection everyday. The staff was great but the highlight was Ata who we met our first morning while having breakfast. He served us with such joy. We watched as he interacted with customers and were amazed that he treated each guest like they were a king... More
