I was recommended this hotel by a friend. The rooms are clean and so are the bathrooms, which are shared. They have pickup service from the airport, which is needed because the airport is quite a distance from town. It was very close to the amphitheatre. Well worth the $20/night. The staff was friendly. There was no pool or restaurant.... More

Friendly and well situated, the attractive Art Deco exterior is not matched by the sad decor within. Dirty carpets and poorly cleaned bathrooms with street side rooms noisy all night it takes forbearance to stay here. Only consolation is the relatively cheap price of £30 per night More

Not easy to review without putting it in context. Hotels in Amman are expensive and down town Amman has few opportunities for development. That means that at £30 a night this is very much a budget hotel. The decor is dated and delapadared. Paint peeling off of walls and water damaged shower curtains make the rooms feel unclean - which... More

More of a hostel, really, and a bit run down but kept clean and you can get a self-contained room really cheap (25JD for a self-contained single, breakfast included). It's centrally located amidst various souqs and restaurants, and within walking distance of the Citadel and the Roman Theater. There's free wifi, but I don't like how it's only in the... More

Stayed 2 nights, the bedroom was ok but the bathroom had rotten wall and very dirty curtain shower and rusty overhead shower ... smoky lobby ... BUT honest, friendly and very arranging staff .... were able to leave our luggage in the lobby during our last day, and got a discounted taxi to the airport for JOD15. Location is great... More

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 1night in February 2012. The room was small, not to clean and the door didn't close properly. Bathroom had warm water but wasn't that clean either. The internet didn't work. We read this was the author's choice in Lonely Planet but didn't find this hotel that special, maybe all the other ones of... More

I'd stayed here on my own once before in Summer 09 and remembered it as being central, quite traveller-savvy, friendly and cheap despite being a bit rough around the edges. It's still a friendly place in a great location but that's about all it's got going for it these days. My wife and I stayed here in January and the... More

A cab driver at Abdali recommended this place so I went because I arrived late and couldn't be bothered looking. I was here 2 nights. The singles with shared bathroom are 14JD/night. This is cheap for Amman. My room had a desk, bed, cupboard and access to a small communal balcony. I first thought the door didn't close so went... More

The staff was very, very helpful. Can't find better. The rooms, while clean, are small, noisy and uncomfortable. The location is great except for the street facing rooms with the Jordanian's obsession with their horns. There are actually better values in Amman if you share the cost with a buddy or significant other. More
