We stayed there last night and the experience was awful. Firstly we were given an extremelly noisy room (not sure where those noises came from, but it was impossible to sleep in there). We called the Front Desk to move to another room and said they would send someone. No one came. After calling 3 times and chasing them several... More

Location was great, just the opposite of Moda Mall and quite near to the city centre. Food was okay. Service wise was average. Our stay was just a ahort one so probably inadequate time to really evaluate the service as a whole. More

My family was allocated this hotel while on transit during our return flight to Kuala Lumpur from Jeddah on Gulf Air. Check in was fast and efficient. Room was average though we had to walk quite a distance outdoor to get to the room, which made us shiver since the temperature outside was about 16C and we were only dressed... More

Arrived here to find renovations going on. The front door was boarded up, and access to the rooms was via a goods lift by the kitchen. I've stayed here before, but won't do so again. The exorbitant charge for internet access is just another irritant in a hotel that is clearly well past the stage where it should either be... More

I stayed here while on a business trip. Booked online through the hotel's website but wasn't informed that much of the hotel was under renovation. Also was charged BD10/- for internet usage in the room, which turned out to be BD20/- when i checked out. Didn't bother arguing with the front office staff - I wont be staying here next... More

The Golden Tulip is nicely located in the center. There is Internet in the room. The lobby looks quite inviting and staff at the reception is friendly. The room itself was very dirty. The bedsheets did not smell fresh, there was dirt in the bed, the floor was full of spoilt liquid - the same with the furniture. The matrasse... More

If you drive from Riyadh late-ish Wednesday night and don't want to pay up for the Ritz when you're going to check in at nealry midnight, this'll do perfectly well for B&B and then move on in the morning. The breakfast is pretty good. The Sheraton over the road is better for a nightcap. More

I stayed at the Tulip for a day while waiting for my connecting flight to Frankfurt. I found everything perfectly OK, absolutely nothing to complain about. The pool was a nice feature, room, bed, bathroom were excellent. The location was good enough to go for a walk and explore the area. Very polite staff. I cannot comment on value for... More

I serendipodously stumbled upon this excellent hotel when I arrived in Bahrain very late and needed a pillow for the night. The pillows by the way, were big and comfy, which is good because I have a big, knobly head. I had the best breakfast ever before my week in Saudi eating Pakistani dishes (curried tramps-foot I believe). Not sure... More
