Le Commodore is in the best shopping district of Beirut . Shops and bargains close at hand--clothes, shoes (especially shoes), goods of all kinds, banks, and the pleasant, courteous Lebanese to guide you if you get lost. “Has not sustained excellence”

When first came in 1999, breakfast was first class. Fresh squeezed orange juice, eggs made to order, expresso coffee. Now breakfast is rather spartan. Rooms still good, but wifi can be problematic. “Pleasant , conveniently located hotel”

In late September 2012, attending a conference in Beirut, Lebanon, my wife and I stayed at Le Commodore Hotel, the conference hotel, in downtown Beirut. The rooms were comfortable in size and cleanliness. The staff was helpful. The conference facilities were adequate, with several stalls for simultaneous translation into four languages.

“Very Pleasant Stay”

Very nice Hotel, the food was good and the staff were very helpful. The room was clean and well maintained with its own balcony although the view wasn't particularly good. I took approximately 30 minutes to travel to and from the airpot from this location. I would stay here again.

The location is very good regarding easy access to Al-Hamra street and Al-Hamra shopping area, but the view is not very nice as it is surrounded by high old buildings; all other issues are very good - excellent especially the cleanness, braekfast and sleep quality
