The rooms were exceptionally beautiful and authentic, the staff very charming and helpful. This hotel has no restaurant, however the breakfast was just amazing. We highly recommend this hotel, if the political conditions permit. I must also say that my wife... More

Neglected to review our stay from June 2010, but had a completely magical stay at Al Mamlouka - one of my favorite hotel stays ever, in fact. From the serene courtyard to the beautiful furnishings to our museum-like room (akin to staying in the Damascus room at the Met Museum), to the outstandingly friendly service and the great location in... I stayed at beit almamlouka 3 nights. I was the only guest as the situation in Syria is so tense , but the staff was marvelous and made me feel like home . Beit Almamlouka has only 8 rooms beautifully decorated and full of charm .There is no restaurant in the hotel , but a variation of pleasant Syrian breakfast... More

A few days ago I came home after six wonderful days at the Beit al Mamlouka in Damascus. I could sum up my impression in one small piece of information: already during my stay I contacted my work and started to look for tickets in order to return as soon as possible! I have been working in the travel sector... More

Choosing to stay at Beit Al-Mamlouka hotel was one of my best decisions in my life. I stayed at Al Mamlouka for 3 nights. This is a beautiful courtyard hotel that exudes history and culture. Gracious staff, super oriental breakfast, spacious rooms, quiet, best fresh orange juice I ever tasted. The location is great - in the middle of the... More

An old damascan house converted into a hotel with all the necessary amenities for a very comfortable stay. The taxi dropped me at BAB Touma, and I was met by the Bellman who helped me with my luggage, the hotel is a 5 minutes walk. One enters through a small wooden door from a small alley, into a small hallway... More

My husband and I stayed at Mamlouka for 3 days. We were in the "Suleimen the magnificent" room for a night and then to "Ibn sina" suite upstairs for two nights. Suleimen the magnificent room is really magnificent. It's the most beautiful room I'd ever checked into. The details to each piece of furniture, the high painted ceiling, toiletries etc... More
