This is a very nice but OLD hotel, well located jn La Barra, Punta del Este. Very clean and good service, like everything else in Punta: Expensive for what it is.

It is a classic example of poor management or lack of it. It could perfectly be a 5 stars hotel but it hardly arrives to 3. Rusted air conditioners, dirty bed covers, and plenty of unrepaired furniture. Its only advantage is its good location.

Not sure who rates Hotels in Uruguay, thus hotel claims to be 5 star, more like 2 star. Iron burn on the carpet, peeling and stained wallpaper, broken toilet seat - see photo, AC kept tripping electricity. Perfect location but the hotel is more an appart-hotel than anything else. It is built with cheap materials, decoration is old-fashionned and already threadbare and it is not recommendable. Very disappointing.

Horrible place. The five stars is a real joke. Rundown, ugly, moisty. Zero value for the money. We stayed here for one night. After that we changed hotel to lovely Mantra resort and Casino. Las Dunas is one of the worst places I ever stayed at.
