Really horrible. The people there don´t want to work. At the end of my stay one of the guys told me that the hotel don´t pay them their salary since 6 months ago, so at that moment I understood everything.

I have spent the Summer in Punta del Este for every one of my 30 years and had stayed here previously so I reccommended it to some friends, which I deeply regret.

The location is excellent, in Punta's downtown.
Avoid the front rooms, are too noisy.

We were backpacking and usually staying in very basic hotels, so the Hotel Champagne was a real treat. It was central, very clean, spacious and not too expensive. Breakfast was an excellent buffet. We were there in the off-season and there wasn't a lot to do, otherwise we would have stayed longer. Highly recommended!
