We recently spent time 1 night at the Rosario Hotel in La Paz and highly recommend this hotel - the staff were extremely helpful, room was very comfortable, food at restuarants was good, location very good and we had the ability to leave our luggage at hotel whilst on tour at Uyuni Salt Lakes.

This hotel is being upgraded with a new elevator - very helpful at 12,500 feet! Rooms are variable. Lots of shopping right out the front door. People are making leather jackets on the nearby street that run about $75. Restaurant is very good with excellent service. Breakfast is limited but you can request cooked eggs.

The hotel is less than 5minutes (walking) from the Witches Market, and walking distance to Plaza Murillo and Calle Jaen (20-30minutes, though a bit tough with the altitude and slopes).
