This was my first visit to Bogota and the hotel was perfect - location, room and amenities (like complimentary WiFi), helpful and courteous staff and the Colonial architecture. The complimentary breakfast - beautiful fruit, pastries, hot omelet and cafe con leche - was a bonus. The Police presence in the hotel's Candelaria district was reassuring. More

Hotel de la Opera is a beautiful old house with beautiful views of the center of Bogota. The location is ideal, near the plaza de armas, and the street has a lot of security since it is behind important government buildings. Not much traffic on the street for the same reason.
