Decent hotel, quiet, clean, good service, is a 70's hotel, is in the center of the city, the price is modest, good for budget people, business, foreign inmigrants, only sleep, for transit and no for family with kids, if you are a Hilton hotel stay away, the city is too small comparate with Buenos Aires, Lima or Santiago or Sau... To be honest I cant be just fair about Chaco. I hv been there a number of times ever since my first trip to Asuncion, more than 25 years ago. Of course the hotel become old and some light refurbishing along such a longtime has not kept the old standards. Beside it is truth that more new and more modern... More

Hotel Chaco has everything you need - clean bathrooms, warm rooms, and a pretty rooftop deck with a view of the city. It's not luxurious - but the breakfast is satisfying, and I have no complaints about my stay here. More

May very well have been the best hotel in town: once upon a time. With that pedigree, they feel there's tradition to uphold. Unfortunately, it's a too heavy load for the Chaco. Newer, better places have opened. But, if you want the old world feel, then go for it. A Papal delegation was lodged here. There's a lot of dark... More

We feel like the Chaco Hotel is our beloved parent. It is nurturing, kind, and loving to its guests who need a little extra support after long, sweaty bus rides. It is a safe haven from the chaos that is often Asuncion (especially if you are navigating city buses all day). The staff is the best part of the experience.... More

We visited Asuncion out of curiosity as nobody we know had ever been there before. We picked up Chaco from Trip advisor. Asuncion came as a pleasant surprise, so did the Chaco hotel: Very well kept property, clean and nice. Rooms spacious enough with all the commodities the average traveller would expect. Nice breakfast, very nice and fairly priced dining... More

We stayed at The Chaco while visiting our son who is in the Peace Corps. They give the volunteers a great discounted rate so it is a favorite among them. Our son had told us that it was outdated. So, we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at our room. We were in room 603. Our son said it was... More

I arrived at the International Airport in Asuncion at about 11 PM, exhausted from a long day of travel. Not looking forward to the hoards of taxi offers that awaited me, I was shocked to see someone in the crowd holding a placard with my name on it. I had alerted Hotel Chaco that I would be arriving late and... More

Situated in the heart of the business district the Hotel Chaco is a haven of peace and tranquility. If you ask the Hotel will offer you a complimentary transfer from the airport to the hotel which, depending on traffic, could take 30 to 40 minutes. The reception area is small by US standards but adequate and cosy by European experiences.... More
