..while exploring the city . Had been curious about the hotel as many Surinamese had mentioned this location. Decided to have dinner in the garden area which was nice and pleasant . Every employee we encountered was pleasant and fluent in English . Fun and interesting . Taxi service back to the Krasnapolsky was a fair price from the casino... More

... since this hotel has old and very muffy rooms, with small bathrooms and nice new bright room with more space in the bathroom Besides, this is a very well placed hotel with very friendly service at a good price. Breakfast offers too little choice and swimming needs maintenance More

Ordinary rooms in the 3- to 4-star range surround a 5-star garden area featuring a pleasant pool, spacious patios, plenty of free-standing massage huts, a palapa fitness area with whirlpools and much more. The massages are very good value by U.S. standards. The grounds, especially around the docks and landing areas, are grand for evening strolls. Suriname is very Dutch,... More

Stayed here in February and March 2012 on business trip. Rooms are tired-looking and some include cheap plastic (formica) based furniture and need painting. The breakfast was disappointing with very little fresh fruit. Evening meal in the restaurant was expensive. The hotel has a nice pool and garden and is located with easy access to the historic center of Paramaribo. More

I was here for a business trip for almost a week. The rooms are a bit disappointing but luckily they are in the process of refurbishment. Breakfast is OK but not very special, and is every day the same. The location however, close to the Suriname River and Fort Zeelandia, is splendid. The garden is the real gem of the... More

Had lunch here and had to wait for an hour. The 'surinam specialty bbq' was just two pieces of chicken, white rice and beans. Would not recommend to eat here. More

Quality is not the best in Paramaribo, but atmosphere is nice and if you have a renovated room is it nice and clean. Bars, restaurants and historical buidlings on walking distance More

The staff of the Torarica Hotel can't be beat. They are so friendly and helpful that they somewhat help overshadow rooms that are old and badly in need of a good cleaning and renovation. Also not a lot of soundproofing between rooms so it can be noisy depending on who is next door. Parts of the hotel are currently being... More

This is the best hotel in town for the overall package. It is actually a resort, not just a hotel. We stayed there for a long time (almost a year so far) while working on a project. The staff is good, the location is within walking distance of restaurants/bars, and the room was great. There are other hotels but they... More

This is the older Torarica, and the more family friendly one. The decore is outdated I will admit, but they are renovating sections right now, so hopefully that will improve soon. The beds are comfy and the rooms were clean. They were nice enough to upgrade my room to one with a terrace which was excellent becuase it was faster... More
