Valerie was lovely and helpful but the 2 bedroom apartment was quite disappointing. Think Aunty Mavis' 1980's beach house. The "couch" was simply a heinous piece of furniture that should never be in ANY form of housing. We stayed in Vanuatu for 2 weeks and stayed at 3 different places. Tradewinds was the last place we stayed, the most expensive... More

Thank you for your review. I agree that the resort is looking a little tired and this was, and still is being rectified. I’m sure that you would agree that it would have been inappropriate for repairs and maintenance work to be carried out during the busy January season. As our staff have always been complimented on the cleanliness and... More

We recently stayed at Tradewinds and had a great time visiting Vanuatu. Valerie and her staff are only too happy to make recommendations of what to see and do. Rooms were cleaned every day by the house girls and nothing was too much trouble. Catching a bus into town was easy, and they always dropped you right back at the... More

We stayed for two separate nights enroute to different islands. Cheap and comfortable but about a 15 minute walk uphill from town. Any local bus will drop you there for only 150 vatu. More

We stayed 5 nights in a studio unit based solely on good reviews from tripadvisor members, and we weren't disappointed. The resort is in a beautifully maintained garden setting with each studio well sited for privacy. The same attention to detail continues inside - everything you need to prepare a meal is at hand, the king size beds are very... More

We stayed here 3 nights, the bungalows are very nice, spacious clean with kitchen and cooking equipment, they are located among palms, there is swimming pool, table tennis, they have kayaks, the French owner and other staff is very helpful, the resort is located directly in Port Villa in Erakor bay, the only pity is it is not located directly... We had originally planned to stay here as we passed through on our way to other islands, but stayed for longer as we were stuck because of a cyclone. Unfortunately because of the cyclone we didn't really get to see everything the resort had to offer. The accommodation was made up of good sized bungalows, and self contained so you... More

We have stayed a few times at tradewinds and its always great. This time we stayed 4 nights in total split up by 1 night and then 3 nights at the end of our trip. The studio apartments have a king size bed and a futon. Small dining table, mini kitchen and a nice bathroom. We had a swim in... More

Mitch could have not been more helpful. He and Lyn picked us up from the airport and even took us shopping to get us started in our new country. The house is very comfortable and the best part is it is spotlessly clean. Vanuatu itself gives you a shock, if its the first time, because the whole place needs a... More

I found Tradewinds clean and comfortable, staff and owners were extremely friendly and helpful in arranging and recommending local tours and activities. I liked the following: Rooms fully detached and private, set in tropical gardens. Bed very comfortable. On site security overnight. Pool well maintained and clean. Staff and owners at reception friendly, and provided useful information about Port Vila,... More
