It's a good place to stay for travellers who are after a good rest and nothing fancy. Afterall, it's only a 3-star hotel. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Room is clean. Convenient location and it's only walking distance from Bogyoke Aung San Market. More

A great place to begin and end a trip to Myanmar. The rates have increased but we found it to be good value. Rooms comfortable, bathrooms spacious and water hot. TV,fridge, linen and beds OK lights and lifts worked etc. Breakfast good with local and western variety. Restaurant fair and beer on special! Exchange bank in foyer and rate good.... More

It was generally clean and ok, but this hotel isn't the top grade you can find it. If it weren't for Traders being fully booked, but charging twice this hotel's price (well, I'd say, u get a 2.5 star for paying about USD70 p/n, vs 5 star at USD150 p/n), so it really depends on your budget. I must say,... More

I was there for a meeting at the hotel, so I needed to stay with all the participants. The first night we ate on the ground floor and a rat (not a mouse) ran by. I did not take it as an auspicious omen. I tried to forget about the rat (as my Asian friend shrugged and said, "This is Asia.... More

I was torn between 2- and 3-star but went with the latter. Positives: location is good, easily walkable (apart from the sweltering heat) all the way to the Slue pagoda downtown through some very characterful old streets with eateries, retail and wholesale scene. Reception was good, but I was traveling with a good friend who is outgoing and flirtatious, so... More

Stayed in this hotel twice and found it to be wonderful, especially when you want to escape from the heat of the day. Most other places which are cheaper than this don't have AC and in summer it is essential. You need to make your reservation early as they are always booked out well ahead. I stayed at two other... This was the worst hotel we stayed in during our two week holiday in Burma. Our rooms were dank with mold on the walls, although the bathrooms were very clean. We had booked 10 days ahead with a deposit, yet the triple we had requested had not been prepared as such. The receptionist was so rude we had to ask... More

Central Hotel is in good location. 5-10min walk to Bogyoke market and Indian street. Walking distance to Sule Pagoda. There are several eateries around this hotel. Our deluxe triple room is clean and comfortably fit three single beds. Bathroom has full set of toiletries. Bath and face towel is wrapped in plastic to keep them clean individually. A good spread...
