Stayed at this hotel for a day & a half (one night) at the end of a long journey. We mostly were out visiting pyramids so didn't spend too much time in the hotel during the day. Because of protests in Tahrir Square we didn't feel comfortable walking around too much but we did venture out one afternoon/evening to try... More

Capsis was one of the best hotel we had in Egypt. Very well located and staff was really nice. The older review says breakfast was not included but for us it was included and quite fine. The room was really clean, the air-con was really silent which I understand now is very important when you want to sleep!! The wifi... More

Nice hotel, very good room and bathroom. Wifi is limited to the lobby and not free. Close to the metro and there are very good shops and restaurants a short walk around the corner. Great service from drivers who will take you to the Citadel, Coptic area, pyramids, bazaar.

Most backpacker hotels in Egypt offer free wifi but Capsis Hotel wanted to charge me without informing me that it was chargeable. Wifi is only available in the hotel reception area. When asked if the hotel rate included breakfast they said yes. But it was not the case. What they meant is "Yes, we do provide breakfast" but it was... More

For ~240EP this place is a great value. The room was clean and spacious, the bathroom was nice with hot water and good pressure (easy to wash clothes). The lobby area is comfortable to pass time in and the food is a fair price, decent, and fast. The lobby staff is happy to help and offers great drivers as exceptional... More

I stayed here before an after an Intrepid tour I did, and the location is really good, just a 5 - 10 minute walk to a main street with heaps of restaurants and shops! There is only wireless internet, they don't have computers, but there was a good place only 5 minutes away. They have a car service where they... More

I had booked at Victoria Hotel, which is owned by the same people, but when I arrived at Victoria, they told me there was no availability there, and they had changed my reservation for the Capsis Hotel, in the same area. I knew this could happen, I was aware of this fact before booking at Victoria, so I was not... More

The Capsis Hotel is centrally located in Downtown cairo which is great for getting around but ca be noisy! We stayed there as part of Intrepid tour and also at the end of the tour. We paid about US$30 for a twin room with breakfast per night. The hotel is very much a 3 to 3 1/2 star hotel anywhere... More

We checked in at the Capsis after a whirlwind 8-day Intrepid tour. Our tour was wonderful, but we were spent by the end, and this hotel was so welcoming! Spotless, cool, polite, organized, calm...everything we were looking for. Breakfast is on one of the top floors in a clean, cool dining room. The staff helped us arrange a daylong tour... More

First stay was as departure point for Intrepid tour, then stayed another 4 nights following the tour. My room was a double, plainly furnished but very clean and comfortable. the traffic noise....well....the noise is HUGE anywhere in Cairo!, and it was Ramadan, there is a mosque just next door or just down the lane, I am sure....and....get plenty of walking...
