Not much to say really. We stayed two nights but only had one breakfast as the second morning was an early start although the lunch box was adequate. Room was fine and everything worked. Good location for Pyramids but no shops or convenience stores nearby apart from a gas station selling some food and drink. If you are wanting to... More

Stayed for 3 nights 14-16 May 2012. Started off ok but on 15 May we noticed lots of people sitting in the courtyard at the entrance to the hotel. Then we found that all the bars, coffee shop and pool were closed. Management did not inform us, but we found out through our guide that the staff were on strike.... More

It's impossible not to give credit to Mercure for the fabulous view of the Giza pyramids. The hotel itself is a solid 4+star establishment. The rooms & grounds are nicely appointed but not quite 5-star. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The current prices are outstanding due to lack of tourism. The spa massage was well priced but average... More

Good quality hotel and it is close to the pyramids but not that close as the picture would imply. It took us about 30 minutes to walk to the pyramids mainly because there is no direct road and one has to walk around a bit to get there. It is quite noisy since it is close to few streets with... Our hotel was supposedly upgraded and when I checked online it seemed it was formerly the Sofitel so I expected much. Lo and Behold after check in, tired from all the travels, I looked for an elevator because they were pointing us to the spiral staircase near the reception but we were carrying a lot. When we reached the floor,... More

Thank you for your constructive comment. We have taken some steps in regards to changing all the carpets in the hotel corridors and of which is currently taking place. Hotel is struchured in a horizontal shape with two storeys, ground and first with one available lift at the lobby area to allow guests to go to the first floor shouldn't... More

This hotel is lovely, it's very big & the rooms are lovely and very spacious. Rooms get cleaned every morning & they do a fantastic job. Staff are very friendly & can't do enough for you, hotel is right by the pyramids so there are lovely views. Pool is lovely, very deep though! (although there is a lifeguard) breakfast was... More
