We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights in march 2010. It was a nice experience , though it may not have stunning views and all.But considering the traffic in the city of cairo, we found this hotel very helpful. As it was really easier to reach many places from here. And the service was not so great, we ordered for hot... Built in the 1940s it sure could do with an overhaul(someone has sure photo shopped the pictures), tiles missing off the roofs, pideons everywhere so poop also everywhere. Nice views on the balcony but the pool waterfalls are so noisy you cant leave the windows open even. The lift had to be the worlds smallest and sounded as if it... More

It once was grand but the Internet pictures do not tell the run down truth. Close to Giza and reasonably priced. Restuarant is awful.

This rather sad place needs maintenance and a facelift. It appeared to have once been rather grand and characterful but is now just ticking over. If you want to be in the heart of the city and able to walk in the streets and explore, then it's fine, but if you need visual space then it's not for you. It's... More

We stayed at the Amarante, which is close but not close enough to the Pyramids once you encounter Cairo traffic, about 4km away! It's is average - rooms are nice, but restaurant has limited menu and not that good. Staff friendly. The one thing that really annoyed me was internet which is US$30 per 24 hours - with a usual... This hotel may not be located in the 'tourist' centre, but if you're looking for a more local atmosphere this is the place for you. Depending on the time of day and day of the week the hotel is about a 15 minute drive from the Pyramids and about 45 minutes from the airport. The hotel is located off of... More

We stayed one night here at the start of an Egypt tour with Explore. The previous night we were at the Grand Pyramids Hotel. In short while this hotel was ok, the Grand Pyramids was better for around the same location and price. However if you, like us, are booked to stay here due to a tour and read some... More

Stayed for three nights. Hotel is in an awful location. Neighborhood is extremely shabby, dirty and poor. There is absolutely NOTHING to do in the area. Smoke in the lobby makes it rather unpleasant to stay. Hotel taxi desk employees are disrespectful and rude to women passing by, harassing with unpleasant comments and looks. The hotel taxi charges 100 (yes... More

We stayed for three nights on a group tour. The Hotel was nice, rooms and public areas were very clean, the exterior of the buildings show some wear and tear, but not inside. The pool area was very clean and a nice place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The staff was friendly and very attentive. Internet, whether WiFi... More
